MessageWeek is a non-profit, free community service, utilising emerging technologies to share the good news message of Jesus Christ.

It's the best news you could ever hear. It's easy to understand, filled with hope, and designed to change your life for the better.

BRIEF HISTORY
Using an old VHS video camera, our first few good news message films were streamed in 28k Vivo and Real formats in 1997. We produced a new short film every week for several years. It wasn't long, with the rapid development of the internet, together with new content delivery technologies, many people were acqiring information and multimedia through the internet. Discovering that visitors appreciated the benefits of streaming media, MessageWeek began.

MessageWeek developed, using available film and streaming technology, simply to share the good news. The rollout of broadband heightened the media streaming experience. Training with Channel 9 helped us. In 2003 the film studio moved to larger premises in Perth, until we finally moved back in 2005. MessageWeek now features regularly on local Access 31 television.

We utilise a variety of popular media formats, including Real, Windows Media, DivX and HDV, and provide a range of bandwidth options. The content is edited on a Core2Duo system. Most films are kept relatively short in order to overcome current bandwidth limitations.

NON-PROFIT MINISTRY
We are a non-profit Christian ministry, following Jesus Christ's teaching to freely share the good news message. The work of script writing, filming, DV editing and promotion is voluntary work. Meet some of our team. The recording base for our work is in Western Australia.

We welcome any donations to assist in offsetting production costs.

PRODUCER
This ministry is unique in that it is one of the oldest websites on the worldwide web to stream free short regular good news film clips.

For Producer John Klassek, MessageWeek is a culmination of Jesus' discipling call, local church work, experience with various media including signwriting, as well as work in Information Technology.

"We really had no idea, when we started, of how far-reaching and effective media streaming could be," recalls John, "however there was always a sense of mission to persist... It's provided remarkable training for all of us. And it is exciting to be able to articulate the timelessness of God's word and grace in our complex world in ways that people can readily access."
